Suggested Travel Itinerary

Guatemala - 4/5 Weeks

Days 1-6: Antigua Guatemala

  • Explore and enjoy Antigua's colonial architecture, markets, and beautiful views.
  • Hike the Acatenango Volcano (overnight stay in the volcano for stunning explosion views).
  • Visit Hobitenango for a breakfast buffet (*check schedule) and Caoba Farms for amazing organic meals.

Days 7-14: Lake Atitlán

  • Explore the towns around Lake Atitlán (Panajachel, Santa Cruz, San Marcos, San Pedro). Stay in each of the towns for a few days, or pick a town as a base and use the boat taxis to explore the rest.
  • Hike some of the volcanoes and viewpoints (Indian nose for sunrise is strongly recommended).

Days 15-18: El Paredón

  • Surf and relax at the beach; take a mangrove tour.
  • Enjoy the nightlife in the town.

Days 19-22: Semuc Champey

  • Swim and explore Semuc Champey; stay in Lanquin.
